Evidence:
Promoting critical thinking within an ELA classroom has been a challenge for me throughout the past two years. During lessons, I am always probing the why behind the answers that students give me. As of recently, I have had my students in my small groups start creating posters to show what they have learned. This project based learning style has really pushed students to engage their critical thinking skills and connect with the material on a deeper level because the students are not just circling an answer or looking for a key word on a page, but rather creating something meaningful.
