In my first supervisor observation in level 4, I designed the lesson for students to achieve mastery through cooperative learning techniques such as fluency checks with a partner and turn and talk opportunities. The objective is presented at the beginning to help students understand what is required of them throughout the lesson. I also include the learning target at the end of the lesson for students to reflect on if they feel like they achieved the target or if they need more work. This helps me to see if mastery was achieved by receiving student input on how they feel at the end of the lesson.
