Evidence:
I have structured my lessons this year to follow a gradual release model (I do, we do, you do) where students watch me model. In my model I always conduct a think aloud where I verbalize my thought process related to the subject matter. The students will then do a turn and talk where they verbalize their own thoughts and application of the subject matter before they are released to their independent task. This allows students to thoroughly understand the concept before they are assessed on it.
